Mastercard Casinos Open to Malta Residents — We Hold an Account at Every One

Seven operators take Mastercard from an account registered in Malta, and we hold an account at every oneeach accepts Malta residents. Five of those cashiers showed us the card entry on our own logged-in screen, on the dates below; the last two are confirmed by a person rather than photographed — BC.Game by the reviewer who funds that account, 777 by the owner’s like-for-like statement that its cashier mirrors 888casino’s — and they rank last for exactly that reason. NetBet leads because it is the one where a Mastercard payment of ours went through.

The seven operators, ranked

Rank 1 is the cashier where a Mastercard payment of ours actually cleared; below it, the one that printed us a Mastercard limit of its own in euro, then the three whose card entry we captured — Decode Casino’s with a $25–$500 band in dollars — and last the two whose card rail we have on a person’s word rather than in a capture of our own: BC.Game on the reviewer’s confirmation, 777 on the owner’s mirror statement against its sister brand — the whole rule. Where a row below shows a speed pill, that is the operator’s own timed payout on the rail that carried it: Skrill at NetBet, Bitcoin at BitStarz, Skrill again at BC.Game.

How this order is set, and what we checked

The order is evidence, not preference, and here is the whole of it. Rank 1 is the operator where a Mastercard payment of ours actually cleared at the cashier. Rank 2 is the one where the Mastercard entry was captured with its own displayed limits beside it. Below those come the cashiers where we captured the Mastercard entry without method-specific limits — the operator with the faster payout we have measured at that cashier, on whichever rail carried it, goes first, and where neither has been timed the larger published lobby does.

Both measured figures belong to the rail that carried them and to nothing else: BitStarz’s 46 minutes went out in Bitcoin, NetBet’s three hours through Skrill.

Below all five of those sits a tier of its own: operators whose card rail we have on a person’s word, with no card entry in a capture of ours. That is BC.Game — the reviewer who funds the account confirmed its full method list on 16 August 2026 — and 777, where the owner’s statement of 21 August 2026 is that the cashier mirrors 888casino’s on the shared platform. Both confirmations are good enough to list on; neither is the same thing as a screen we read ourselves, so neither competes with one. Between the two, BC.Game goes first: it carries the one figure in this tier we have timed (the €2,000 Skrill payout), where 777 carries nothing of ours at all.

Each operator’s welcome offer, with the term that binds it, sits in its block above.

What the deposit screen actually shows

“Takes cards” is not one fact, and the wording differs cashier by cashier. NetBet splits credit and debit into two separate entries, so the screen asks you which one you are holding before it asks for the number. BitStarz and Betway each put both schemes behind a single card option. 888casino is the one of the four that showed us a figure against a named scheme: Mastercard €10–€18,000, under an account-level heading the cashier calls “Your deposit limits” — whether that ceiling counts per payment or per period is not something the capture scopes, so size a large transfer against the cashier rather than against this page. Its Visa entry showed a €10 floor on the same screen.

Five of these seven operators also carry a prepaid voucher entry alongside the card, which is a different rail with different floors and has its own page: paysafecard. And if the Mastercard you intend to use lives in a phone wallet, the card rail is the one it rides — the wallet-specific detail sits on the Apple Pay and Google Pay pages.

If your card keeps getting refused

Start from what we know goes through: the scheme itself is not the obstacle. A €10 deposit cleared NetBet’s card rail on a Revolut Mastercard on 11 July 2026, 3-D Secure captured at 17:51, full amount credited.

That puts the two things worth checking in front of the cashier rather than at it. The first is your issuer. Our BOV and HSBC Malta guides read those refusals as a block applied at the bank, before the casino ever sees the payment — at BOV, written against merchant category 7995. Neither bank has stated a policy to us and neither publishes one we can cite, so that is our working explanation rather than a rule anyone has confirmed; it does carry one practical consequence, though. If the block is written against the merchant category, swapping a Visa for a Mastercard at the same bank changes nothing, because the merchant has not changed.

The second is the card itself. If it is a Revolut card, its own optional gambling block is worth ruling out before the casino gets the blame — switching it off takes 48 hours, so it is a thing to settle the day before rather than at the deposit screen, and the dated entry sits on the Revolut page. No BOV or HSBC Malta card has been put through any of these cashiers on our account, so “change banks” is not a fix we can say we have watched work. What we have watched work is a card drawing on a balance of its own: the Revolut Mastercard above.

What the terms ask of the card itself

Five of the seven operators here ask the same one thing of the card: that it be yours, with the name on it matching the name on the account. BitStarz §8.6.6, NetBet §11.5 and Betway §4.4 each say a version of it; 888casino’s user agreement and BC.Game’s deposit terms — the latter requiring only that a method be lawfully owned or controlled by the player — carry the same own-name requirement, and our record holds the requirement rather than a clause number for those two, so we are not printing one. Decode Casino we could not check: its terms routes returned errors to our reader on 17 August 2026, so whether it writes the same clause is unknown rather than absent. And at 777 we have read the bonus terms, not a card-ownership clause — it shares 888casino’s operating company, but we print nothing we have not read. Third-party cards are the real prohibition: borrowing a partner’s Mastercard is what breaches those clauses.

On the kind of card, one of the four can be settled with a number: Betway’s Malta terms were searched end to end on 15 August 2026 and returned zero occurrences of “prepaid”, “e-money” and “virtual card”, so a prepaid, virtual or e-money Mastercard in your own name is not written out of them. For the other four our record carries no instrument-class clause either — BC.Game’s terms name no Revolut method and prohibit no instrument class at all, checked 15 August 2026. That is what we have read, rather than a guarantee about what their terms contain. The practical point is the one already on this page: the single card deposit we have logged went through on a Revolut Mastercard, an e-money card, at NetBet.

Frequently asked

Which casinos take Mastercard from an account registered in Malta?

Seven, and we hold an account at every one. Five of them showed us the card entry on a logged-in cashier of ours: NetBet (a credit entry and a debit entry, 11 July 2026), 888casino (a Mastercard tab showing €10–€18,000, 11 July 2026), BitStarz (one combined Credit Card entry, 9 July 2026), Betway (an entry labelled Cards, 12 August 2026) and Decode Casino (a card screen at $25–$500 in US dollars, 17 August 2026, deposit-only per the operator’s own banking page). The last two rest on a person’s word rather than a capture: at BC.Game our reviewer, who funds that account, confirmed the full method list on 16 August 2026, and at 777 the owner’s statement of 21 August 2026 is that the cashier mirrors 888casino’s on the shared platform. Both are listed, and both rank last for exactly that reason. Start with NetBet: it is the one where a card payment of ours cleared.

Why was my Mastercard declined at the casino deposit screen?

Our working explanation is your issuer, not the casino and not the scheme. Our BOV and HSBC Malta guides read those refusals as a block applied at the bank — at BOV against merchant category 7995 — which would be a block on the merchant, so a Visa from the same bank would fail the same way. Neither bank has stated a policy to us, neither publishes one we can cite, and we have not put a card from either through these cashiers, so treat it as an explanation rather than a confirmed rule. If the card is a Revolut card, check its optional gambling block first: switching it off is not instant. The one card deposit we have logged — €10 at NetBet on 11 July 2026 — cleared on a Revolut Mastercard, so the scheme goes through, and a card drawing on a balance of its own is the version we have watched do it.

Do prepaid or virtual Mastercards break the casino's terms?

Not in the terms we hold, and what those terms do ask for is something else: the card must be yours, with the name matching the account. BitStarz §8.6.6, NetBet §11.5 and Betway §4.4 each say a version of it, and 888casino’s user agreement and BC.Game’s deposit terms carry the same own-name requirement without a clause number on our record. On the kind of card, Betway’s Malta terms were searched end to end on 15 August 2026 and returned zero occurrences of “prepaid”, “e-money” and “virtual card”; for the other four our record carries no such clause either — BC.Game’s terms prohibit no instrument class at all, checked 15 August 2026 — which is a statement about what we have read and not a guarantee about what their terms contain.

Deposit floors and fees rail by rail: fees and limits comparison. Which operator takes which wallet, bank and crypto rails: payment method filter. Every payout time we have measured, and the rail that carried it: timed withdrawals, casino by casino.
